Movement Strategy Center (MSC) focuses on redistributing resources back into communities, facilitating a collective process of change while recognizing the exploitative systems from which wealth is derived. This interconnected process, which we call Participatory Philanthropy, supports the flow of resources in solidarity and partnership with communities in ways that extend beyond grantmaking, including education and shared best practices.
Participatory Philanthropy is a common thread running through all of our services and all of our relationships. At the core of this work is a practice rooted in love and mutual aid, reminding us that philanthropy is not just a tool for building power, but also a means of resourcing alternatives to unjust systems.
