Fiscal Sponsorship for
Innovative Leaders and Organizations

MSC offers fiscal sponsorship to key partners whose work is aligned with MSC’s mission and furthers our tax-exempt purpose. Fiscal sponsorship is a fee-based contractual agreement where projects can independently manage a set of work while receiving administrative services at a reduced cost.

MSC’s fiscal sponsorship program has three goals:

1To support each project’s administrative needs, allowing them to focus resources on their programmatic work.

2To strengthen each project’s ability to be viable, sustainable, and powerful within their sectors.

3To build leadership and innovation through partnership as an agency.

MSC offers its fiscally sponsored projects (FSPs) an extensive range of services. In exchange for an administrative fee, projects gain the benefits of MSC’s expertise and organizational infrastructure, and receive services that are often difficult to fund. MSC provides tools, templates, consultation, and resources to allow projects to deepen their knowledge of nonprofit compliance, financial management, fundraising, and personnel management. MSC also helps projects recognize when they are ready to spin off and become independent.
