As a Finance Assistant at MSC, Phil processes accounts payable, manages IT and operations within the Suite, and provides additional administrative support to MSC’s fiscally sponsored projects. Phil’s experience has made him a jack-of-all-trades: he’s been an Operations Coordinator at Californians for Justice, a Systems Admin & QA tester for 3rd-party developers of Sony Playstation, and a Program Manager for Nexa at San Francisco State University (SFSU). His formative years in administration were during the years he spent as an Office Assistant for SFSU’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), where he also served as a Summer Bridge Tutor and a Teaching Assistant. In his current role with MSC, he strives to bring efficacy and affirmation to his work and relationships.
Beyond his work roles at MSC, Phil offers pro-bono desktop support to local non-profits, but spends most of his time with his art. Deeply affected by the aesthetics of street art, calligraphy, film noir, hermeticism and Afro-futurism, as evident in his persistent experimentation in various mediums, he is most passionate about unveiling the familiar.
Phil holds a BA in English Literature and Composition from SFSU, and has completed additional coursework in cinematography, 3-D modeling, animation, illustration, and creature design from the Gnomon School of Visual FX.
