Corrine joins Movement Strategy Center as a Program Manager of their Transitions in Place team with an excitement to bridge disconnected and under resourced movements together for greater, sustained impact.
Corrine has been deeply immersed in movements for social, economic, and racial equity all of her life and professionally for about 15 years and counting. As a former IDEAL Scholar (Initiative for Diversity in Education and Leadership), she witnessed and continues to witness the compelling impact of investing in youth and disenfranchised communities of color so that leadership can reflect the real diversity it seeks to serve. Since then she has continued to develop her leadership working with the Rockwood Leadership Institute, Greater New Beginnings Youth Services, Oakland Climate Action Coalition, and contracting with various organizations. Corrine is currently transitioning out of her role as Co-Director for Rooted in Resilience (formerly Bay Localize) where she’s been co-leading organizational management, development, communications and outreach.
She currently serves on steering committees for Rooted in Resilience, the California Trade Justice Coalition and the Resilient Oakland Initiative. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Family is what drives Corrine’s commitment to justice and thriving communities.
